For speed, efficiency and affordability, the Subway is the way to go. New York City traffic is notorious and it can sometimes be quicker to walk than drive if you get tangled in a peak hour gridlock. For sure. There’s a free monorail (the ‘AirTrain’) that runs between all six terminals every few minutes.
Well, yeah. Although there are plenty of free things to do, like spending time in Central Park, walking the High Line or going to the museums when they offer free entry, in general, it’s a pretty pricey city. Make sure you factor in taxes (especially on hotel rooms) and tips when you’re working out your travel budget.
“Communications with the Lyft dispatch center worked well. Our driver arrived on-time. We were fortunate to NOT experience the usual LA traffic until we got to LAX. After inching our way toward the departure entrance, our driver suggested that he take us to the arrivals entrance and we could take the escalator or elevator to the ticketing lobby. This worked out well. I do not know how much time this saved, but I would estimate 20 minutes.”
“Good ride”
