Rodney John Bishop

Managing Director

Mr Bishop co-founded Jayride in 2012 and has built the company from concept through to a multi-million-dollar international transportation comparison platform. He is a product and sales visionary with 10+ years of experience in founding companies and leading teams. In addition to team leadership, Mr Bishop has deep subject matter expertise in passenger transport, digital marketing, sales management and enterprise selling. Mr Bishop’s prior roles have included being the Founder of Hitch (marketplace for hitch hikers), founding member of The Ridesharing Institute (NZ, an alternative transport NGO) and Marketing Director, Navigo (enterprise software sales).

Rod Cuthbert

(Interim Non-Executive Chairman, Independent)

Mr Cuthbert is an experienced chair and globally recognised leader in travel technology. As the founder, CEO and chair of online travel marketplace Viator, the world’s leading resource for researching, finding and booking sightseeing, tours and activities, Mr Cuthbert grew the company from founding to successful acquisition by TripAdvisor. As the chair of online travel search engine Rome2Rio he grew the company from startup to successful acquisition by Omio. Mr Cuthbert is also non-executive director of online travel marketplace Veltra, a publicly listed company on the Tokyo stock exchange. Mr Cuthbert was appointed as a non-executive director of Jayride’s board in April 2020 and as its interm non-executive chairman in April 2021.

Tzipi Avioz

(Non-Executive Director, Independent)

Ms Avioz is an experienced director and executive, and is also non-executive director of ASX-listed technology firm Shekel Brainweigh. Ms Avioz has extensive expertise in growing online marketplaces through her 20 years of experience in data analytics and executing large transformation programs. As Executive Vice President of Customer Success for Americas & APAC at marketplace platform Mirakl, Ms Avioz maximises customers’ use of Mirakl marketplaces. Ms Avioz is based in Jayride’s largest market, the US. Ms Avioz has previously held senior technology leadership positions at Woolworths, AMP and the Tiv Taam Group in Israel.

Samuel Brock Saxton MAICD

(Non-Executive Director, Independent)

Mr Saxton has 15+ years of experience as a technology consultant having delivered significant change programs across the telecommunications, energy, retail and construction sectors. He supports the board and executive teams to define a strategy that will accelerate growth and chart a course that will enable delivery at scale. Mr Saxton is also an experienced entrepreneur, founding his first business at 19, with successful exits. Being active in both the Australian and New Zealand start-up ecosystems Sam supports the growth of early stage companies as an angel investor, adviser and director. Sam led the Sydney Angel’s syndicate that invested into Jayride in 2012 and has been active on the board since.

Yifat Shirben

(Non-Executive Director, Independent)

Ms Shirben has 10+ years of experience in the online and mobile marketing industry. She has a demonstrated track record leading cross-functional expert teams and has extensive knowledge in messaging, go-to market planning, social media, PR, mobile marketing, SEO, SEM, affiliate marketing and website optimisation. She is highly accomplished in developing new business, improving operational and financial performances, identifying potential opportunities, developing innovative and cost effective marketing solutions for enhancing competitiveness, increasing revenues and improving customer satisfaction. Ms Shirben is an international speaker, mentor and blogger and is highly involved in the local innovation eco-system.
