Top Withens is a now-ruined farmhouse said to have inspired the Earnshaw family home in Emily Brontë’s famous novel, Wuthering Heights. Despite the farmhouse bearing no real resemblance to the family home, the moorland ruin has a plaque affixed to the decaying walls noting that the farmhouse is associated with the novel.
